In this class, Jackee will teach you how to use acrylic paint the same way she does in her paintings. The goal is for you to not only enjoy acrylic more, and the process, but to get a finished look from your paintings that resembles more of an oil painting than a traditional acrylic. Jackee stopped using oils many years ago because of the odor and corrosive nature of them in her home studio, and because she enjoyed their appeal in the finished paintings, she developed a way to get the same feel from the less toxic acrylics. These techniques can be used for anything you choose to paint, they are not only for painting flesh (which is Jackee's forte). You'll find a list of items recommended for the class below, from palette paper to paint, that are all the same brands Jackee uses. While you can try these methods with any brands you are familiar with, Jackee is teaching specifics that she knows with particular items she's been using for years.
